Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy turned out to be a game-changer in Vijay Deverakonda’s career. Apart from south, the actor garnered pan-India recognition due to its dubbed -Hindi version. While he received accolades and awards for his performance, he earlier revealed that it was exhausting experience for him while shooting for that character. Despite the stardom, his last two films World Famous Lover and Dear Comrade failed to create magic at the box office. Opening about the failure of World Famous Lover, he told senior journalist Rajeev Masand that the film was very good on paper but it didn’t work out during the execution. “The film was amazing on paper. But we fuc*ed it up as far as the execution is concerned. I was excited when I had heard the story,” said Vijay. Talking about Vijay’s upcoming film Fighter, the Hindi version of the film is presented by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions. According to Mumbai Mirror, Vijay Deverakonda underwent hardcore training and followed a strict diet to prepare for his character. The Geetha Govindam star also visited Thailand to learn mixed martial arts and various other fight forms. In the film, Deverakonda will be seen flaunting six-pack abs. Apart from Vijay, Fighter will also feature Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy and Baahubali star Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. Talking about the film, Ronit informed a leading daily, “It is a pan-India action film that will feature a lot of mixed martial arts and will be shot extensively in the next six months. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh, who is known for delivering blockbusters like Badri, Pokiri, Desamuduru, Neninthe, Golimaar, Businessman, Temper, Iddarammayilatho and others.
