Salim Khan opens up on being away from son Salman this Eid: ‘I spoke with him on the phone’

Salman Khan emerging on the balcony of his Galaxy apartment to wave to everyone gathered outside his home on Eid has become a tradition as old as time itself. In fact, such is its impact that the symbol of the superstar waving to his fans gathered below his home is etched in all our psyches, regardless if we’re a fan of him or not. Sadly, this year the actor could not take some time out to even be with his family on Eid, leave alone wave to his fan and follow his tradition as he’s been stuck at his Panvel farmohouse ever since lockdown began along with a few other family members like sister Arpita Khan, brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, Sohail Khan’s son as also a some friends like Jacqueline Fernandez, Waluscha De Sousa and rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur. Speaking up on celebrating Eid in Salman Khan‘s absence, his father, Salim Khan, told Times of India in an interview, “He has been spending a lot of time there. I just spoke with him today on the phone and we exchanged wishes. We are always in touch with each other through our regular phone calls.” On being asked if anything special was being prepared to celebrate Eid, the legendary scriptwriter added, “Bilkul nahi, buss regular khaana hi bann raha hai (Not at all, only regular food is being made).” Also Read – Bhai Bhai song: Salman Khan gives a special Eid treat to his fans, despite having no film release this year

Yesterday, Salman Khan released a special song, Bhai Bhai, for his fans, since he couldn’t keep another tradition of releasing a film for them on Eid. Talking about the song, he said, “Since we couldn’t release our film on this Eid, I have worked on a very special song for all my wonderful fans. It is called ‘Bhai Bhai’ as it celebrates the spirit of brotherhood and unity. Eid is the best day to release this as it is also the festival that brings people close to each other. Well, at least Salman and entire family are safe from the coronavirus pandemic, and that’s what’s paramount.
