Irrfan Khan’s son Babil wore a blue outfit for the function. It seems the dress belonged to his dad. Irrfan Khan’s makeup artiste, Naqi Bhai did his hair and makeup for the function. Babil Khan wrote a beautiful post on social media about the whole thing. He wrote that his dad was uncomfortable about experimenting with fashion, but did it to push his boundaries. Babil Khan shares priceless throwback pictures of Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar from their NSD days

Irrfan Khan’s son Babil is winning the hearts of fans. After the demise of the actor in April 2020, he has been sharing priceless vignettes from the life of the actor through photographs and anecdotes. Some of the best ones are from his NSD days. He has shared a pics of his mom, Sutapa Sikdar and Irrfan from their drama school days, and one 35 years later when they were married with kids. He captioned the picture, “Mamma and baba in NSD cut to mamma and baba 35 years later.” In the first picture, we can see Irrfan Khan seated on a rattan chair with Sutapa Sikdar having a conversation with him. Babil Khan wants to enter the world of films. He has spoken about how he is an untrained actor, and feels a sense of calm when he sees his dad’s pictures from his NSD days. Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar married in 1995 in a simple court marriage. She was one of the writers for the show, Banegi Apni Baat that had Irrfan Khan in a pivotal role. He had always praised his wife saying that she was a very creative person, and in sync with his sensibilities. He once said, “We studied in the same film school and my wife has a better understanding of many things than me, including performances. She has a lot of creative energy which translated beautifully into the films and their stories.” In her interview, Sutapa Sikdar had described Irrfan Khan as a good mother. She said, “The way he understands them, their mood swings and other things… It’s not about playing football like most of the fathers do. Irrfan Khan’s death has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of movie buffs. The talented actor left an indelible mark in the minds of fans in Bollywood and Hollywood. Irrfan Khan was also a devoted environmentalist. His elder son, Babil Khan has shared a picture of him from their farm house. He wrote that whenever Irrfan would be there, the principal of a nearby school and the kids would come to meet him. We can see the actor in a hat, white shirt with a printed undershirt, denims and sunglasses being surrounded by a number of people. In the pictures, he is patting the children on their head. After the death of Irrfan, his family issued an emotional statement. His wife Sutapa Sikdar wrote, “I want to assure everyone that this is not a loss, it is a gain. It’s a gain of the things he taught us, and now we shall finally begin to truly implement it and evolve. Yet I want to try to fill in the things that people don’t already know. ‘It’s unbelievable for us but I would put it in Irrfan’s words, “it’s magical” whether he is there or not there, and that’s what he loved, he never loved one dimensional reality.
